Martin J. Krug moves to Steering Committee of Power-Child e.V. - Christian Hoffmann becomes Chairman of the AssociationPower-Child e.V. has a new Chairman. Association founder Martin J. Krug, who has acted as Chairman up until January until date, presented his successor during the regular Members’ Meeting held on 13 January 2009, the lawyer and committed member of the Association Christian Hoffmann.
Martin J. Krug, the initiator of Power-Child e.V. and Chairman of the Association during its six months of existence thus far, is moving onto the Advisory Board at his own request, a position from which he will continue his active involvement.
Martin J. Krug had informed members of the Board and Steering Committee of his decision some time ago in order to ensure as smooth a transition as possible when the change of Chairman took place.
“My six years as Chairman of Power-Child e.V. left a deep impression on me and represented an extremely intensive period of my life. The original germ of an idea has led to the creation of an extremely active Association which is now operating at an international level. Although it is with a sense of deep gratitude that I look back on the past six years, I now feel it is time for a change. This will generate fresh impetuses for the Association. At a personal level, I am very much looking forward to remaining fully active in my new position as Member of the Steering Committee and will welcome the chance to help shape the future of Power-Child e.V. in a consultancy capacity,” says Martin J. Krug.
Christian Hoffmann, a lawyer from within the ranks of Power-Child e.V. who is already familiar with the projects and work being undertaken by the Association, was the preferred candidate of the Board and Steering Committee to succeed Krug.
“It is a great honour, but also a considerable responsibility for me to take over the office of Chairman. The work which Martin J. Krug has performed since the foundation of the Association has been enormously valuable, and we and the whole of the team will do our utmost to continue it”, said the new Chairman Christian Hoffmann at the Members’ Meeting.
The Power-Child Team would like to thank Martin J. Krug for the boundless engagement and unstinting commitment he has brought to the role of Chairman of the Association. Without Martin J. Krug, Power-Child e.V. would simply not exist, and in particular neither would we have such facilities as the POWER-CHILD CAMPUS in South Africa.
The Association would also like to extend a warm welcome to its new Chairman Christian Hoffmann and is looking forward to working with him on our impending projects and on the further expansion of our preventative network.
